Surrounded by tranquil nature, I create here what words cannot express.
Between light, color and structure, images develop that do not tell stories – but open up spaces.

For me, art doesn’t mean creating something new –
but to make something hidden visible.
My works are created in silence – and have an effect on them,
who not only want to see, but feel.
If you have the feeling that a work speaks to you, then it is no coincidence.
It is memory.

Art is created within historic walls,
which does not grow out of a concept, but out of a sensed presence.
The silence of this place, the light, the textures
– they form the resonance chamber,
in which works are created,
that do not tell stories, but open up spaces.
Whoever enters this place,
does not encounter the past, but itself.

Every work by Hella Ridder is a decision – deliberate in theme, form and title.
Their effect begins where the structure ends:
not as a statement, but as an invitation.
The current works open up a space for them,
who are ready to be touched
– of pure presence.

– but to follow a resonance.
That’s why every purchase starts with a conversation.
About the work, the environment, the space in which it is to work

Colors and format were discussed. The first draft was immediately "our picture".
We were so enthusiastic that we purchased another picture shortly afterwards, which also touched us deeply emotionally. Friends who visit us are always immediately impressed by both works."
